Samsung Intercept is the first Virgin Mobile’s Android 2.1 powered mobile phone that comes with pre-paid service options, no contract. It has been going on sale since the mid of October, 2010 with initial price approximately $249. Now, this handset is available at several stores in the U.S and the prices are much cheaper than before (see the best deals section at the end of this post). The pre-paid Virgin Mobile service (call and data) plans offer three different options, start at $25 monthly fee – users will get 300 minutes of voice, plus unlimited data, text, email and web. The other two plans for Samsung Intercept Virgin Mobile are $40 (unlimited data + 1200 minutes call) and $60 (for both unlimited data and call).

With the cheapest option ($25) you can get 300 minutes of calling which is plenty and I think more than enough for most people, and also you’ll get 1 month 3G broadband-speed unlimited web data. By using Virgin Mobile’s Samsung Intercept in the long run you’ll save your money, every month, instead of a contract cell phone.
