Google Map Saver (GMS) is a freeware developed by Daniel Codres which is very useful to capture or save Google Maps and Google Earth (includes satellite, hybrid and terrain maps) to your computer for offline view. GMS application is light (only 400 KB), no installation needed, just double click the .exe file, run it and enjoy! Actually it is almost similar with GMapCatcher but GMS is lighter, simpler and effective.
Once you have downloaded the Google Map Saver, you can simply open it. To activate your copy (remove watermark), click “about” link (earth icon) and hit “Agree!” button. As you can see here, the user interface is simple yet easy to use.
Start browsing online map by typing the location on the POI input and then click “GO”. You can also customize the view, set the zoom, select the map’s type, coordinates, resolution and output format. Hit “Save Image” button to capture or save Google map to your PC. Next you can view the map offline that you previously saved.
