Hi, welcome friends. Do you have some PDF documents that are password protected or locked with copy / print restrictions? If your answer is yes, then you are at the right place now. The idea of this post came when I knew that lots of my friends have the same issue related with this problem. They were asking me, how to open password protected PDF and unlock the select, copy-paste and print restrictions. If you are facing this problem then I have the solution for you. We will use a freeware that doesn’t cost you anything. Keep reading this post to find out about the software, its abilities and the how to use.
Recently, I found a tiny, light weight free application that has abilities to unlock PDF password and restrictions. It is PDF Unlocker. Thanks to this freeware, I can help my friends and I am sure this can help you too.
PDF files / documents that have security protections can hider you from studying in your research. There are two types of protections. First, restrictions for some functions, such as unable to select, copy-paste and print. Second, PDF password that does not allow you to open or access the content / document. As I mentioned in above, PDF Unlocker has abilities to remove both types of protections.
Remove PDF Restrictions
The process is very simple, just drag and drop PDF file that has select/copy-paste/print restrictions on to PDF unlocker icon on your desktop. It will produce another copy of your PDF document (but without restrictions)
Remove PDF Password
Please note that it only can remove the password if you know the password to open the PDF document (not to hack the password). Follow to the steps below, once you remove the open password for a PDF file, next when you open the same PDF document, it will not ask you for password again because the password has been removed.
1. Right click on the PDF Password shortcut icon (in your desktop)
2. Click edit
3. Type the password after -sPDFPassword=
4. Save and exit
5. Drag and drop PDF file to the shortcut icon
6. Done! Now the PDF password has been removed
After the operation, you have to set -sPDFPassword= back to blank again because the blank value is needed if you want to remove PDF restrictions (copy-paste,print…).

You can use PDF Password Remover to Reremove password-protection or encryption from the PDF
document. Advanced PDF Password Remover is a free tool which removes encryption from PDF files.
It removes all the basic restrictions on printing, copying and editing the content of PDF files.
It also removes password protection, if any, from the file.
